Hiya guys

I'm stuck in a bit of a rut and my weight loss seems to have hit a wall for the last few weeks remaining static. I'm thinking it probably has a lot to do with the fact I've been taking weight watchers meals to work for my lunch because they are SOOOOOOOOOoo easy and cheap and keep me within my calorie goal.

Anyone got any ideas for filling (not too much) lunches at work. I do sometimes take a wrap with salad and chicken breast and a thin layer of houmous in.

I'm only 9lb off my target and am desperate to kick start my weight loss again.

I love to eat all kinds of fruits while I'm at work! Today for example I brought sliced water melon.I also like to have a yoghurt, a sandwich or just salad.

I love the leancusine meals and do eat some of the w.w. meals too. I do believe however that they are high in sodium. I try to limit myself to eating 3 maybe 4 once in awhile in a weeks time. I like them because they are easy too. How about preparing your lunch the night before and making a nice green salade with protien like chicken or beans on your salad. Your body may love you for the change. Be sure to be drinking lots of water also. Best wishes. Lynne :flowerforyou: p.s. WTG on your success thus far!

taco salad is one of my favorite fast filling meals! romaine lettuce, fat free refried beans, a few tbsp. of salsa, fat free sour cream, and a little bit of cheese! very easy to throw together and mine is usually around 300 calories!
  • I read a recipe on here last week that I've been obsessed with! It's tomatoes (i cut cherry tomatoes in half), red onion, yellow bell pepper (you can use any color of course, but the yellow is so pretty!), cilantro, turkey pepperoni (I quarter each one so it goes further), and cottage cheese. It is DELICIOUS. It's great as is--like a cold summer salad--and I've also had it in a wrap or on a bagel thin. I make it up the night before and it's even better the next day. Without the wrap/bagel, it's under 300 calories. :)

If you've stalled, it's possible you need to change up your workout routine. Your body gets used to exercise and becomes more efficient, burning fewer calories to do the same thing you've been doing. So it helps to introduce new things to keep you and your muscles challenged.

Another suggestion I've heard is to make sure that you're not undereating by too much. If you have increased your exercise level, you have to increase your food intake, too, or your body will go into starvation mode and pack on whatever it can as fat to "save your life." Some people I've heard have success by upping their calorie intake to a maintenance level for a week or two, and then drop back down to finish losing the weight.

It really shouldn't matter too much what food you're eating. What matters is that you expend more calories than you're eating. That gets harder and harder the closer you get to your goal weight. Don't give up, just keep pushing your body to be healthy and you'll do fine!

I do actually prepare fruit tubs for work with whatever fruit I pick up at the weekend and I also make myself a portion of jelly so I have can have my sweet thing without the added sugar :D

Salads I find really boring. I tend to find when I buy all the salad things fresh I end up throwing a lot of it away at the end of the week because I just don't eat it. Don't get me wrong I do actually like salad it's just I don't don't get the same feeling of fulfillment eating a salad

I do tend to mix up my exercise routine as I get pretty bored quickly, especially with just hitting the gym. I do 2 days 4hrs cardio/strength classes including a pilates session. At least 1 hr gym session and I've recently added in a hula hooping / skipping interval training doing 5 minutes of each (I was shocked that 20 mins of this burnt over 300 calories!!) I also try to add in an hr swimming session at least once a week. Some weeks I fit it all in, some weeks I don't ha ha
