What's an acceptable goal?

T-minus 7 weeks until I have my first fitting for my wedding dress (and they say you shouldn't gain or lose any after that). So looks like 7 weeks until I need to be wedding body ready!!! Ideally, I want to lose 30 more pounds but that's over 4 pounds a week. Is that completely unreasonable?

Realistically you should only be trying to lose 1-2% of your total bodyweight for safe and maintained weight loss.

Unfortunately yes, for most people it is completely unreasonable to lose 4 lb./week consistently for any length of time.

That would be really unhealthy. People lose weight like that when they're gravely ill. Consider 2 pounds a week at the most. And by the way, with that smile, you're going to look stunning no matter what. :)

Although remember, weight doesn't always translate into inches. You can drop slower than you'd like but still see fantastic results in the mirror and in how your clothes fit.

Thanks everyone. I will just try and stick to a healthy routine and whatever happens, happens. My fiance loves me the way I am now, I'm sure he'll love me even if I don't lose any weight!
