28 lbs gone

Wow, i started this when my husband got on the scale and proudly proclaied he had gained 20 pounds and was the heaviest he has ever been, always being to thin, he was triumphant. In that split second i realized in terror, i out weighed my husband by 100 pounds. How had this happened? I stood up and got on the scale in front of him (took some courage) and told him write it down because i will be successful and we will look back on this moment, as the day, i stopped doing whatever and started doing everything i could to make sure we would grow old together. Thinking i have nothing to loose and everything to gain! That was an understatement. I have been agressive in doing my best to eat right and work out. Loving it. I told my husband the other day, i know i have technically lost a good deal of weight but i just don't see it. His response, you look at yourself everyday. Take a picture and compare it. Try on the clothes in the closet you know you can't wear. I tried on the clothes, i went from a 20/22 to an 18 baggy. I even found a pair of 16's i could zip up. Hot Damn! I spent two hours throwing clothes away and trying clothes on. I can't remember clothes being so fun. I almost fell over. Though I am not a super model, I am amazed at how much I have lost. My face is thinner, my legs have shape, i walk several miles every day, my zumba now resembles dance instead of a seizure, you can't take the smile off my face and i am actually in the pictures, not taking them. I would love to post pics but I am not sure how. What I have learned is, If you exert more energy than you eat, it will go away, end of story. My goal weight still keeps me higher than i should be but we will see how i feel when i loose another 30 lbs. Imagine that!
I recently seriously blew out my knee, barely being able to walk up and down the stairs, my excercise came to a schreaching halt. though i am eating right the lbs, are inching off at a mere crawl, but i am doing it and back to walking, i will be running in no time, just as soon as i heal completely. The message here is be proud and do not get discouraged. Just keep moving in the right direction, regardless. Because eventually you will suceed!
