And I feel like I am overcoming it!!! So, on the scale this morning I was up... not even a pound but still  Usually, in the past, I take the gain and run... Run to the fridge or pantry to EAT EAT EAT... I get SO discouraged and then of course I don't over come it and I put back on the few pounds that I lost... Of course when I got dressed this morning my pants were tight... my shirt was tight.... i felt HUGE... (I am sure it is in my head) I came to work... and instead of having a doughnut from a co-worker I grabbed a granola bar... a commercial came to mind the one where all day the gal choose the healthier option and felt great. So, I had a yogurt for snack and water bottle in my hand... instead of the pop that is only 50 cents in the next room... I went home for lunch thinking I would have leftover rice and chicken... well i KNEW that I wouldn't be able to just have a little I would eat the whole thing so I made a salad instead!! I am still in a funk but seem to be staying strong ... a first for me!!!! Anyone else have this problem?? If so add me as a friend and we can stay strong together. I am new at this but have already noticed all the support from fellow MFP members!!

I think we've all been there! For me it always seems like everything strikes at once too -- those days when the scale is up, you can't find clothes to wear, co-workers say "wouldn't you like this homemade cookie?," and no matter what you eat you still feel like eating everything in sight. Congratulations for staying strong on such a tough day!!

Yes! I have a very hard time with portion control! It sucks!! It seems I still often feel hungry even though I've eaten the "recommended" serving size, you know! ugh.

Ugh - yes. I had one of those days last Monday. I had worked my tail off all week, and really watched my calories. I jumped on the scale, excited, on Monday morning for my weekly weigh in- and was SHOCKED to see I had gained 6 pounds. SIX!!! I was livid. And discouraged. I said screw it and went to Chick Fil A for breakfast. Luckily, I had come to my senses mid drive thru- and ordered a plain sunflower bagel and some fruit instead. I only lost 2 pounds this past week, but I didn't exercise as much as I should have either.

    Good luck and stay motivated!!

It really is good to hear the other stories - besides my own frustration. I feel like i have been at this a while and feel like for the most part I have done every thing right and still seem to see the same numbers back and forth on the scale. I know i have done this one before and I will do it again! thanks for all the support mfp family!
