Well I'd say the fat content in it isn't great alright but feck it, I LOVE chorizo. It would be great in an omelette. I put it into anything I can as it adds such flavour. Even a small bit goes a long way.

Do it and enjoy it! Life's too short to cut everything out of your diet!

If you love Chorizo though...... fry a bit off in your pan first and get your omlette cooking in it will taste fab and so flavourful!!

When I say fry I mean.... when you cook the chorizo, oil will come out of it and you can use that for your egg. I don't mean FRY IT ...fry it!! I don't think I'm making sense! :(

a good chorizo w/o msg is fine! You need to replace the sodium you sweat out, and just make sure to stay under your fat for the day.

did you know, animal cholesterol found in animal sources, is the best way to eliminate your own cholesterol problems?

Chorizo is fine it's just fairly calorific.

Tastes ridiculously nice though so that more than makes up for the calorie content.

I drain off the fat after its done cooking and then throw in the egg............OR maybe I can just go with beef jerky right after my weightlifting session and then make spaghetti for dinner!

Do you watch your fat intake? I very rarely exceed my allowance for fat. Sodium is more often the problem for me, so that is what I would be watching, but that still wouldn't make me miss something I love like that entirely. Chorizo does have redeeming qualities; it isn't like you asked if you could eat a stick of butter!

Eat what you can have for your calorie needs, make sure you watch the sodium, and I wouldn't worry about it.

I have found a product called Soyrizo and its AMAZING.. All the flavor and not all the fat and calories.. I have fed it to all my carnivore brothers and friends and NOBODY even noticed it wasnt a "real meat".. Look for that if you can

Chorizo. Very greasy and very high in calories.

And what kind of chorizo, Mexican, Portuguese or Spanish?
