    I tend to perfer albums over playlists as you can lose yourself for an hour or so in a well crafted album that tells a story. Sometimes I 've caught myself thinking "wait, the story just ended, I wanna heat it again. Do I have enough to go another 15, 30, or even 45 minutes?"

    Plus I find the change in beat from song to song to become disruptive and annoying. Just my $.02.

    The other trick is: I don't allow myself to get in a music rut. I have to listen to it not at least different artists everyday, at least a different album.

    The worst place to find yourself is in a music dead zone. It can kill any gym routine in 2-3 days flat.
