Mine isn’t a total success story, but a partial one.

I stopped eating most processed foods in exchange for organic CSA and Farmer’ Market fruits and veggies about three months ago. I also started eating fish and chicken each twice a week cutting red meat (have to have my New Yorks and Tri-tip) and the other white meat to 2 or 3 times a week. In that period of time, I have lost nine pounds of which 2 pounds were lost in the last week after going on an 1800 calorie, low sodium diet and started using MFP. Last week, my doctor took me off of three of my high blood pressure medicines and cut my cholesterol meds in half. Today, my doctor took me off one of my diabetes meds. My goal now is to get rid of my last diabetes med, my last high blood pressure med and my cholesterol med. I just wanted to shout to the world that getting healthier (I am far from healthy, still have 86 pounds to go (down 66 lbs from 332), works!
