Buy quality coffee, grind it yourself, and brew it properly. You won't need any additives or flavorings.
Thiss. I used to think "whole bean"-er coffee people were just too darn fancy until I tried some freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee. It was the first time I drank coffee black, b/c the flavored cream tasted so cheap in comparison that it would ruin the flavor! And this is coming from someone who drank instant with no qualms.
Btw, if anyone's brewing their coffee, did you know that essential oils (what makes coffee smell so good) are released at 96 degrees F, but bitterness is released at 100 degrees? That means that if you brew your coffee just right, you won't need any sugar in it at all!0 -
I have a Kerig coffee maker and I go for the flavored coffees. My favorite k-cup is vanilla biscotti. I use Coffeemate sugar-free caramel creamer: 1/2 tbsp = 15 cal and add in just a bit of almond milk and Splenda to sweeten. I also add a drop or two of almond extract. It's yummy and only about 20 calories!0
