Can't excercise-not losing weight

Options
this is not an excuse but maybe its is i cant decide. Actually i have been trying to conceive for last 4 years im turning 30 this oct, had laprascopy last march, Dr said unexplainable reason coz everything seems right. During these 4 years i went from 68kgs to 74kgs but recently when i touched 76kgs, i was litterly alarmed. I have been concious of my weight since i was 10 years old, never followed any kind of fad diet just ate healthy, no processed food hardly ever if i count cornflakes and instant oatmeal as processed. no colas no juices no alcohal

but now the delimma is i want to lose weight but i cant excercise as im having treatment for conceiving this is1st month and this course is for 3 months, my physician has told me not to do any hardwork, no squats no stairs climbing more or less im just allowed to do househould chores except moping, vaccuming ...coz accordin to physician this med makes the utreaus fragile.

so im allowed to eat 1500 cals on MFP to lose 0.5 pound per week and im following tht but in first 4 weeks i have got back to 74 from 76kgs which basically the water weight and i was eating too low around 1100 cals and strated feeling very week n dizzy so i decidied to increase it to 1300 to 1500 since then im still stuck havnt lost a pound for last 2 weeks,

so i cant excize i cant eat less than this what should i do, any excercise ideas which i can do without affecting and moreover im pear shaped my problem areas r thighs and butts. i was thinking should i work out upper body then?---ofcourse i have giggly arms...or should i lower my cals? pls let me know if anyone has faced this

I have two questions? Does your doctor know you are trying to lose weight? if so does he think now is the time to try and lose?

I would ask your doctor if walking is ok for you, just not very much of it. But it seems to me that you have other things to worry about than your weight. focus on what is important right now. If your weight is an issue, your doctor should be able to give you some advice. good luck.

Are you drinking a lot of water? I typically drink 12-15 glasses a day. Can you go on a walk?

    What they said...

What about swimming? Regardless of if you are trying to loose weight or not... Swimming is an excellent non impact activity that is really good for you. Ask your doc!

Walking....it's the best exercise because it's not hard on your joints, isn't overly strenuous and at the right pace and an Ipod it can be very enjoyable.

You probably should see if you can do water exercises. They aren't as hard on the body. I would talk to your physican and see what he/she recommends for you to do. If you are going under a certain calorie count and feeling dizzy I'm sure t's not worth it!

I agree with everyone else. Ask your doctor! My uncle is an OBGYN but refuses to advise on fertility cases he isnt involved in. You should beable to do yoga, especially prenatal versions since those are designed to minimalize stress on the uterus. But if your weight bothers you that much you may want to consider stopping treatment until you are at a weight you are comfortable with. Most fertility specialists wont start certain treatments if you are in an unhealthy weight range

What about low impact exercises such as water aerobics, pilates, yoga...etc? When I injured my foot I was unable to do high impact workouts. I know this is different then your situation; however, lower impact exercises is less stress on your body and you still get a workout in. I was able to continue working out while my foot healed.
Overall, I think you should consult with your doctor to make sure it is okay for you to start and they may recommend certain exercises.

This. I lost 35lb by walking for 2 miles 5 days a week and recording everything I ate. I didn't go anywhere special, just walked to and from the school by my house. To this day I've not set foot in a gym. If there's a pool available, you can also go swimming. Don't have to do laps, just a couple and then Youtube pool exercises. They're low or no impact and will help with strength.

Don't allow this to be your excuse. There's no way that being fit is a bad thing for your body. Figure out what you CAN do, drop the "can't do". Your body will be in MUCH better condition to carry and deliver a baby.
