I personally dont look in the mirror and see a big differnce. When I do comparison pictures I see it - but I dont feel I look much different - though my clothes look baggy and huge (Im too cheap/ cannot afford to replace them often).

My starting weight was 246.2 . It took me about 30 pounds to realize I was getting less winded, healthier, and I needed a smaller size pants. Iv'e gone from a 18/20 to 12 :) I havent see a 12 in years, except on a clothing rack :)
  • Congrats on what you have lost so far. I've heard it takes quiet a few pounds for you, yourself to feel or see the changes, but those around you see it Immediately.

I'm pretty short so I see a diff with 4 or 5 lbs. But when I'm losing weight, I just feel tighter in the stomach and happier overall.

    great post ...

i'm roughly about 21 pounds down and while I notice big time, others don't. it seems that 30-40 pounds is when you start to see a noticiable change.

i know i'm wearing clothes i have not touched in 3-4 years.

Great job on your journey so far!! I started my weight loss at 260...and I would go back and forth with if I really noticed a difference or not. My family was always very encouraging and complimented me a lot, but unfortunately at such a high weight it took awhile for people to really notice I was losing! I think I had to lose about 40 lbs before I really had lots of people asking me about it. I've worked at the same store for a long time and one of my regular customers JUST said something to me about it the other day...after I lost 100 lbs. She said, "you've lost weight" and I said, "uh yeah!!!" hahaha. Just keep going and you will notice it more and more and so will all the others!

holy crap man ... after a 100 pounds i would think people would not recognize you. well, keep at it. it is tough. i was on my high horse at 21 pounds lost. long way to go.
