I'm watching my local morning talk show and am wondering...why do so many restaurants offer an abundance of fried foods and minuscule unflavorful, healthy foods? We went to a home-style restaurant after church this past Sunday and I got a grilled shrimp salad. I had plenty of calories to get the fried seafood products, I just didn't want to. It didn't sound really appetizing. The shrimp I got was wonderful and served on a bed of Fresh express salad mix with about a 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese. Maybe I'm just being picky but cheese was not on the menu description nor was the 1/2 of a Roma tomato. Gross creamy dressings were the only options or the canola oil and plain vinegar, which is what I put on my lack luster salad that cost twice what it was worth. Seriously?! Who puts cheddar cheese on a shrimp salad? Who doesn't have olive oil and balsamic vinegar available as a salad dressing option?Who has the gall to charge that much for a crappy salad?! What up wit dat?
I'm just disgusted with what some restaurant think is healthy. "Oh yeah we serve a lot of carp on our menu but that's okay because we also have healthy options. Like this piece of cardboard, handful of iceberg lettuce, and ounce of slimy chicken/seafood." Bah!

I really hate that i feel like a pest when I have to make modifications to my order, like I feel bad for changing things to be healthier
