MY KNEES HURT FOR NO REASON

I used to think my knees hurt all the time because I was heavy, 50 pounds less and almost to my goal and they are worse than ever. I don't do much high impact exercise, mostly power walking, bike riding, yoga. I take a multivitamin, so I'm hoping I'm not deficient in something. It doesn't feel like bones, it feels like it's the tendons that are sore all the time. I haven't done any leg exercises in 2 days and they're still sore as hell today. Can anybody think of anything that might help me out?

Bump! I have a dr's appointment next week for this very same reason, if I figure out anything earth shattering I'll be sure to pass it along!0

You should perhaps see your doctor about it, if everything seems to be fine there may be a underlying reason that you won't know until it is properly examined.0

Not sure on what type of bike riding you do, but if you are not fitted professionally or correct on it, you can experience knee pain (aching) even into your quad area. Hope this helps.0

Like to know too. Have knee problems too and was hoping all it was was the excess weight.0

when you are heavy and have pain(wherever it is) and you loose weight you automatically think it will stop it can acually sometimes get worse where you are using it alot more!0

Same here! Had to take a break from 30DS because of knees hurting. My husband said that 90% of his basic training class were having pain in their knees due to being out of shape and that eventually it stop for all of them, including my husband. Might be that we are really out of shape? My knees are not hurting anymore and I have been working out vigorously and I am obese!0

It is good that you are taking a multivitamin, but that probably won't help your knees. Try glucosamine...if it is a cartilage problem that might help. Some exercises can cause that kind of soreness/pain and it could take a while to get over, expecially if you have pulled or torn muscles/tendons. Good luck...I hope your pain goes away soon.0
