I tried these yesterday and instantly became a HUGE fan!

2 portobello mushroom caps (3 ounces each), stems and gills removed
1/3 cup shreeded cheese (I used Kirkland brand)
1/4 cup pasta sauce
1/4 cup chopped onion

Top mushroom caps like any other pizza (try other toppings if you like- will affect nutrition though). Bake 10-15 min at 350 degrees F.

Yummy and quite filling!

Oh my god - we just had caps as burgers the other day and vowed to buy them more and try new stuff. I love this!

Ohhh yum! That sounds awesome! I've been making little "mini pizzas" using eggplant slices as crust, but the mushrooms sound much more tasty :3

I tried those awhile back, for dinner... and my husband (who works out a ton, and can eat a ton) was full after eating two! Ours weren't intended to be low calories, but they couldn't have been much more than what you listed there! They are SOOOO filling and SOOOOO delicious! this is something I should put back into my arsenal, because sometimes you need to feel like you're indulging when you're really not!

(I might try a slice of tomato instead of sauce - even though I don't love cooked tomatoes)

What do portabella sh'rooms taste like?? I am not a sh'room fan, although it's more testure then taste. I'm afraid to try portabellas! This sounds good though, maybe if I doctor them up enough I could eat it! lol

I personally think portobellos are fairly mild in flavor. When I combined it with the toppings I could tell it wasn't pizza, but it fixed the craving. I'd say give it a try- they're not outrageously expensive to pick up one and try to see if you like it. :)
