what does "bump" mean.
I've seen it several times on this board. I assume it has something to do with saving the thread?

    puts the thread at the top of the page.

    ETA: Technically any post would move it to the top of the page. Its "bump" because it is "bumped" to the top.

    well then I"m going to "bump" all my stuff to the top, because I'm just that important.

    It also allows you to search the thread out again later by clicking on the "My Topics" link.
