So, how much will that burger add?

I just had the most delicious burger ... with bacon. Yuuuuum. (And two beers. :-)
Tossed me completely off my diet, though. But, it was very good.
So, am I correct in assuming a 1/2 pound burger can't add more than a 1/2 pound to my weight? Such food doesn't have the capacity to create matter, right?
I know I hafta live a little so am not too worried. Just curious about the potential weight gain.
Cheers,
Sean

My sister used to weigh herself, then weigh herself holding a can of soup, then eat said can of soup, then immediately weigh herself, then wonder why her weight didn't go up in the amount the can of soup weighed lol0

It takes 3500 calories extra to make a pound. So, I highly doubt that your burger and two beers added to more than that.... Although the sodium from it might tack on an extra couple of pounds for the next few days, it all depends how your body responds. I know for me, generally, if I even stray off a little it leads to some kind of gain the next day (even when I dont stray sometimes ) It happens.. Glad you enjoyed your burger....0

That's a really bad way to look at it . You are never trying to loose weight - you are trying to loose fat. Weighing yourself is a handy way to see how well you're doing but it actually sucks compared to, say, measuring yourself.0

That sounds delicious!!!
Since I can't have one, I hope you enjoyed it for the two of us lol0 -
As soon as you eat food, your body starts digesting it, and metabolising it. If you eat 1 pound of food, and then weigh yourself right away, you will not be 1 pound heavier.0

Weight is one measurement. And, if weight goes down, the other measurements will, too. For me, anyway (not being a body builder). LOL0 -
I really do gain weight that fast. If I eat then my weight goes up immediately.....but I lose and gain weight very quickly.0
