    there are no stupid questions, it means Non Scale Victory.

    its used when for example you did not loose any wt this week but you did reach your goal of going to the gym every day for a month.

    I always wondered the same. It could be making it under your calorie goal, making your workout goals, etc.
    Even if you try on some old skinny pants that fit, that is a NSV. No scale involved, but a victory overall. :)
