This might be a stupid question, but if my HRM says I burn 700 calories, do I subtract my BMR from that before adding it to MFP?

Not quite sure what you're asking. If you subtract your BMR (which is MUCH higher) from your 700 kcal burn you're gonna get a negative number.

Log calories based on what your HRM says, don't adjust for BRM.

Some people do subtract the portion of their BMR they would have burned during their workout time, but that just seems like WAY too much effort in my book. I've lost over 30 pounds and just record exactly what my HRM says...

    Good luck!

I think you mean, should you subtract your bmr/24 from the total burn for a one hour exercise. The strict answer is yes, but most of the time your heart rate stays sufficiently elevated afterwards to burn that extra little bit since for many the bmr per hour is about 50-80 cals.
