I'll take it, though!
I'm a singer - not by profession, I don't think I'm at a professional level, but I love it and I know I can carry a tune. (I was a music ed major w/ a vocal music emphasis. ANYWAY...) For the past few months my upper range has been wonky. Everything felt strained, I couldn't hit the high notes, and nothing I did was really working.
Today, somehow, things just kicked back into gear. I started singing on the way home from work and my voice was there! Honestly, it was like having an old friend back in town. I sang everything I could think of, and when I got home I pulled out the old standby, "24 Italian Songs and Arias." [That didn't work very well because I didn't have an accompanist, and I'm lousy at playing piano and singing at the same time, but WOW was it fun...]
So why am I posting this on a fitness forum? Because I have to attribute it to all the water I've been drinking. At LEAST 64 oz/day. Often it's more but rarely, VERY rarely, is it less. Sometimes I even drink it straight - i.e., unflavored. I think it really is doing me a lot of good!
(For the record, as a singer I knew already that water is good for the voice. It was just something I hadn't thought about that much, because I haven't done any serious singing in ages.)
Have a fantastic night, everyone!

As a singer myself, I hear what you are saying about the water factor. Also, if you have increased your cardio exercise, that will also make a difference in your stamina as you sing. Good luck with your Journey. :drinker:0
