Pet Sematary; the Shining; The Stand.

All by Stephen King, of course. Salem's Lot was pretty creepy, too.

I have to agree with Pet Cemetery. That book creeped me out (even more than Max does).

I used to love Stephen King - read all his (good) stuff.

In recent times, I've diversified (lol) and the most recent book that scared the crap out of me (and I don't knock easily) was House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. The way it is written, and the format - it just - wow. If you are a horror-story person - this is a must-read, imho.

    1. Anything by Dean Koontz but absolute favorite of is "Watchers"
    2. Anything by Stephen King but current favorite is "Duma Key"
    3. Maggie Shayne's 'Twilight" series (I wanna be Rhiannon when I grow up)
    4. Laurell K. Hamilton's "Anita Blake" series
    5. Sherilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series ( have the entire series and am impatiently waiting for next month when the next book comes out)
    6. Lara Adrian's "Breed" series (yup, got the entire set so far ).
    6. Most of all, Christine Feehan's "Dark" series. I have the entire series to date, the next one comes out in December and I'm throwing reallllyyy strong hints at Santa Baby that I want a copy for Christmas.

Books that blend horror, romance and the supernatural are my top favorites, which is one of many reasons why Christine Feehan is my all-time favorite author. While the 'Draycott Abby series aren't what I really consider scary, it ties with the Dark series as my all-time favorites and ones I read over and over.

I run hot/cold on Stephen King.

LOVED Gerald's Game, but thought "From a Buick 8" was one of the dumbest books I've ever read.

IT was pretty decent too.
