Fed Up!

I'm fed up with the scales hardly moving when I think I'm doing well!! I definitely look different and I have lost quite a lot, but the last few weeks they don't seem to be moving. I'm 12 stone 1lb and have been for ages and it's really annoying me! I just want to be 11 stone something for the first time since before I had my last 2 children (5 years ago!). I have been doing LOADS of running and have been eating most of my calories back. I'm not great at not eating much but I thought my exercise would make up for this. I've been under my calorie goal every week except for 3 in the last 10 weeks and then I was only about 60 over. HELP!

Try eating more calories than you need for a few days or so, and then go back to down to what is recommended for you. This might help kick your body into gear. Also remember that weight is not as important as how you feel. If you are healthy and feel good, then don't be too discouraged!

I agree with the above. Your body can get used to a particular amount of calories so try shifting it about a bit to jig your metabolism into thinking things are changing again.
Good luck, you're doing great. That's a great loss.

You'll find this article useful... maybe you're overestimating your exercise calories?
(I do not eat them back or try to eat only half of them.)

Kick start your body by reducing your caloric intake for two days. During this time be sure to have plenty of water and teas(plain). Trust me it really does work, you will definitely see the scale move and that in its self will motivate you.

I took a quick look at your dairy and I think that you should definitely eliminate/reduce the Slimfast products and see if there are any changes.

Thanks for all your responses. I have started only having the slimfast for breakfast for the last few weeks, just because it helps keep the calories down really. I do zig zag unintentionally because of the running on some days so my calories are quite low and then no running on other days and eating more at the weekend and having some wine. I think it's working as I definitely look like I've lost weight over the last 2 weeks but just getting fed up that the scales don't reflect that and I'm sooooo impatient to be 11 stones something, then the next milestone will be 10 something and that means I'm nearly there!

This site is great, it's the best thing I've done to help with my health and weight.

    Thanks again! Jo
