Heya Em! I found the new thread! :flowerforyou: Have you picked out a wedding dress yet???

I am boring and don't have any plans for dressing up. I really should to show off my great new figure  but I'm not very creative and don't have any parties to go to anyway. So... are you the bee or the beekeeper?

    Found it!

That's very realistic CP!! Good idea.

    As for my plan.....

I put my calories back up since I only gained when they were down. Starting next week (have to clear out the fridge first!) I'm making all my lunches in advance in a container to make sure I'm watching proportions better. I cut back on meat and that means paying more attention to nutritional content than before and a lot more variety (I've read this helps)!

I'm going to pick up some appropriate sized containers as well for dinner and breakfast so it's a no brainer.

    I've been researching food combining.

I've been told my large lifestyle change is a lot like something like after quitting smoking for the body - it can make you blow up for a time as your metabolism adjusts. That's a sad thought.

I also got a treadmill!!! I should have it here in the next few weeks. Good for me and the dogs, since the new foster dog still can't be alone in the house. We're working on it, but that's really cut into my jogging.

    Hope everyone's great!!!

    Found it.

Well have not lost anything this week, but good news at the doctors I am beating diabeties butt. Still no medication, I have to work on my cholesterol it is still high so he upped the meds. Now the smoking he gave me a perscription and it is suppose to be really helpful so I am going to set a quit date, but have to get the price for the perscription because my health ins. does not pay for it. since it is getting yuckie outside I am changing my exercise too maybe that will help with the plateau.

I wish I could make my lunches in advance but with a 17 year old boy nothing stays in the fridge:laugh: Im sure it will work well. That is great that you are in maintenence now CP you deserve to take it easy for a while plateau's are draining.

Me and the man are shutting the lights off and having our own little Halloween party  should be fun. Have a great day everyone. :drinker:

Way to go Sindy! And that sounds like fun.

I'm soooo frustrated. Did you know having a broken arm for "only" a year counts as "elective" surgery? Gah, I'm having a hard time keeping level here. :noway: :grumble:

This is the reason my life changed so dramatically - I can't wait until this is over. Seriously. :( I miss, well, everything! At least I can run/jog now.

Haha, ya I hear that. My roommate succumbs to temptation sometimes but chasing him around when he steals it is a workout so maybe it'll balance out....

I should try that sounds like fun exercise  Because of rain did not get any exercise in, and guest on couch so no video this morning. :grumble: Maybe I will get to walk on my lunch today. I have never had to fight to loose a pound and understand your frustration. I will have to sit and figure out something I can do if I cant walk and cant do my video. I want to exercise but no where to do it.

Have a great day everyone. :drinker:

Haha - I'm currently fostering a dog. We haven't got her crate trained well enough that I feel comfortable leaving her alone (that is without my dog in the room with her) so my walks/running have been cut down. That meant today I was doing some workouts indoors and I don't think she's ever seen anything like it before but she was pretty much right in their with me. It was hilarious. She calmed down eventually and would even lie down by the end of the workout, but haha, nice to have a laugh!

They are so funny. The dog I inherited, runs from everything so I am glad we decided to turn out the lightsand pretend we are not home. Plus, no candy in the house to tempt me:bigsmile: . Sorry kids no candy in my house  My son will be at a adult supervised party.

    Have a great day.

I'm hoping there won't be any leftovers, and we waited to buy until last night! (: All the cleaning today should help anyways.....right? haha I can dream.

well my son brought home candy. I did not do too bad. But I am not weighing in until next week. I am trying to break the daily scale check. :grumble: But I dont feel like I lost or gained anything. I have put the quitting smoking on hold for a couple more weeks I need to cut back down some. Still have not given up on it  At the end of the month I should be starting to work the 2nd job at the tax place. The extra money will help all around. Hope everyone had a great week end. :drinker:
  • Haha I hear you on the candy - I have been giving it away like crazy!

Not even 2 weeks at back to 1450 (or whatever) calories and I dropped the 7 or so lbs I went up trying to go down to the 1250. I guess that's as low as I can go without confusing my body. I tried it for a month to see if I just needed to adjust. I think I'm going to have to keep researching/reading and find out more about this stuff.

Now that the foster dog (Maddy) can be crated I'm getting out a lot more and the dogs are getting their walks. It's quite a challenge so I admit to doing it a few nights less a week than I was before (used to take Minnie for at least 20 minutes every day) but she's learning! The foster group STILL hasn't given me any food for her :grumble: which has messed up my food budget, since I can't very well let the dogs go without! Hopefully we'll get that fixed this week.

Sorry for grumbling, but yay back down to where I was!! Now let's see if I can get under 180!

Hope everyone had a good hallowe'en!

Good going on loosing the extra, it is hard when you know you are working hard and gain some back. Things are financially tight around my house and for me it is very expensive to eat healthy foods, but I am managing to keep off extra weight. I have been so bad for the past couple of weeks but still exercising during the week that must be what is keeping it off. That is why I am not loosing I tend to stress eat and I am working hard not to do that. What is even worse is the snack basket at my desk at work we keep for the clients I have been eating out of. Dont know what happend to my will power. May have the manager put it in another place till I work back my will power. I would like to get in control before the next holiday.

Everybody be good and thank you for your support through this I cant even tell you how helpful it is that I can talk about my ups and downs it makes me feel great to know that I can help others with the same. Sorry for the letter  I feel so much better. Have a great day everyone.
  • Hahaha - a few girls nights and I'm a little off track! No gain, just more stationary fun.

Hope everyone's enjoying November, I actually had to clean off the car this morning!

  • Ooh!

I haven't been good on recording lately and given what I ate today I thought I was well over and I'm not! I'm actually about 300 calories under where I thought I was. Huh.

I guess it's time to start logging regularily again!!!

    Hi sindy! lol

Hi Kerri I have not been logging my food either but I have been over. I have not been very good I am stuck in a funk and keep eating bad stuff. Got to stop. I cant seam to find a good time to get my exercise in. it is getting too cold to walk and getting up before 5PM will be hard but it looks like I will be doing that so I can get back on track. Lucky I have not gained anything back. Ok starting tomorrow up early and just going to do it.
  • I hear ya! I haven't been looking forward to walking with all the snow and cold, but, as soon as I get out there I can't believe I wasn't looking forward to it! Thank goodness for Minnie, I couldn't skip the walk if I wanted to! Miss more than one and she's a handful, haha. Fun jogging partner too! Really pushes me.
  • Under by 24 calories today! Whoohoo!

Ok on track today did a little walk this morning and looks like a good day will walk on lunch. Logged my breakfast, snack and lunch. Will be good today.
  • Yay for logging! I'm back on it too. My friend has me using Spark as well, some good fitness/meal suggestions but I like the food logging here better.

I found a nearby aquafit, yay something I can do even with my arm. (: I'm trying to track down a spinning class too.

    Yay for the walks!!!! :flowerforyou:

I am in training and class for taxes coming up so not a lot of time to sit around either. Hope no gain for anyone only losses or stay the same. Have a great day everyone.
  • Hey!

I am just glad to keep it off. I will loose the rest it just may take a little longer. As long as I am watching my sugar intake and not going crazy I am not fussing before the holidays. Just not worth stressing out about. This is a life change. Maybe when I move in with my mother in law next year I may join the Y with her. That would be great exercise.

Hi guys! I see this thread has dwindled a bit, but I'm glad you two are still doing well. Sindy, I've been a member at the Y for about a year now - it's great!

It's the weirdest thing - I stopped logging my calories, cut my workouts from 4-5 times a week to 3 times a week, gave myself permission to maintain for awhile, and... lost a couple pounds! I don't get it, but I'm not complaining. I still weigh in most days, because I am afraid of losing ground - especially as we get into the holidays. So far, so good.

I seem to have come down with a cold, though. Drinking my fluids and taking it easy for tonight. Take care, all!
