HI,

I would like to give a special thanks to all the people that replied to my earlier thread :
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/286078-need-advice-thanks-so-much

I've been doing the 1200 cal ''diet'' for over a month now and no changes...

Well since monday, I started a ''low carb diet''. It is not a real diet since I adore vegetables and I eat everything that I love, except things with carbs..

By sticking to 30g a day (which I dont find that hard), I managed to lose 3.2 pounds since Monday morning...

I was always under my 1200 calories before, but always ate lotssss of carbs (150g )...

I am super happy, and wish that it will continue to drop!!!

For those who are hesitating about cutting their carbs, well Im your proof!!
I've been struggling to lose weight for the past 2 years...

This is the first time that I lose that much weight in a short period of time, WITHOUT feeling like I am starving myself!

THANKS SO MUCH, Going to a cottage with a happier mind and soul!

xox

How hard was it to lower your carbs? What food did you avoid and what foods did you add to your diet?

this is what I do too and makes a big difference. It cuts my cravings and keeps my energy up. w
hen I eat a high carb diet I feel like I struggle to NOT grab something to munch on each time I am in the kitchen and I am sleepy. When I eat lower carbs. Energy levels up and not even hungry or tempted. The carbs i do eat I get through fruits, veggis and nuts......

    Hiii !!!

I avoided : Bread, pasta, rice, flower, too much fruits, sugar, candies, crackers etc..
    Also be careful to yogourt.

I added more : meat, cheese, eggs.

    Here's my ''kind of menu''..

Breakfast : 2 yogourts + protein powder (helps me be much fuller, for a long time) Make sure the protein powder is low carbs ( I use body fortress from walmart, vanilla. Super cheap!!!)

Lunch : Huge salad with lettuce, little bit of onions, little bit of carrots and 2.5 oz of chicken breast
Snack : 5 strawberries or 21g of cheese

Before supper I am always hungry when I get home... So here's my special recipe...

    4 egg whites
    Shallots (1 spoon)
    Little bit parmesan

Put 4 eggs in a bowl with shallots, 3 mins microwave, then add little bit of parmesan.
Keeps you full for a whileeee, sometimes im not even hungry for supper..

If I am, it would be 3 oz chicken, aspargus and a salad.

My dressing is always home made (olive oil, garlic, vinegar, oregano)

    30g of carbs a day!

    :D
