Impacts of Weather on Motivation

Unfortunately, our local area does not boast a large amount of sunshine and certainly not a lengthy summer season. It's amazing the difference I feel with energy levels and motivation to exercise when the sun is shining. I have installed bright "daylight" lights in my exercise area. I've even tried feeding bird sounds into the environment. It's obvious that I cannot change the weather (other than moving), but seeking some input on means/manners to compensate or otherwise trick the body into dismissing the fact that it's dark, raining, and/or foggy outside.

For whatever reason I feel the exact opposite....a dark gloomy day gets me motivated to do something.

I LOVE runnign when it's slightly drizzling and over-cast...keeps me cool!
