Don't skimp on your shoes. Go to a running store and get fit for the correct ones. You will not be sorry!!! You could end up hurting yourself if you don't! Trust me, the investment will pay off big time!

I looked at your profile and saw that you're from England. I would check out sweatshop (sweatshop.co.uk) it's a running store. You can go in and get help finding the perfect shoes for your feet and get a treadmill test done where they have you run on the treadmill and take a video of your feet and how you plant etc. It's really good and the people in the store are really knowledgable on running etc. (they also have a running community too) Good luck :)

I completely agree. I just bought "pretty" running shoes, and ended up with horrendous blisters. After I ran a road race and my blister was the size of a quarter, I decided to get some appropriate running shoes. Mine are Brooks, but theres also Asics, Saucony, Reebok. At some places, I went to the Running Company, they can look at your foot and watch you run to find the right shoe for you. It's def worth it
