My bathroom scale is going crazy on me! I can get on it 5 times in 5 minutes and it will give me 5 different weights! And they can vary up to 5 lbs. Makes it very difficult to track my weight or feel like I'm making any progress. Obviously, I'm in the market for a new one, so does anyone have suggestions for the most accurate bathroom scale?

Hi, I had the same problem and it was quite frustrating. I use one that the doctor's use (so it says lol), it measures my body fat, weight, water etc...When I used a regular scale, and it did nothing but weight it would give me false reads, so it was very frustrating and annoying. You may want to upgrade your scale. Hope this helps

According to Consumer Reports, the latest testing shows that the Taylor 7506 digital scale is the one to get. It is not only cheaper by a WHOLE lot, it was rated #1 in the group. It's available at Target, Walmart, Amazon and a host of other places.

You can order it from Walmart.com for a whopping $23 with free shipping. Got mine 3 days ago. So far, it's extremely consistent and was rated #1 for accuracy. It's glass on top of chrome, comes with a Lithium batter that alledgely is good for 5 years. The ONLY gripe I have is that when you first get it, to pull the red plastic tape off the battery (so the battery is fresh, after sitting on the shelf and shipping from the factory) is more difficult than I'd like. You need a small Phillips screwdriver to take the cover off; then pull the red plastic tape off the battery - and then re-assemble.

No wait, just step on and stand still for a few seconds - and there you have it. Good news, or Bad - it's consistent with a readout in increments of 0.2 lbs (or 0.1 kg).

I had a Tanita (this is the brand supposedly WW's uses for their official weigh ins at meetings). It is now 4 years old and I don't know if it's my bathroom floor that's uneven but it's not as accurate as it used to be. I'm thinking it's my floor. Tanita's are good scales though.

Thanks! I'll definitely check that out!
