Waiting for results

I find myself waiting (not very patiently) for results that just aren't coming. I know that I'm not perfect on staying on target for my diet, but considering how poorly I was eating before, while staying around the same weight, I don't know why I'm not budging. I'm trying for 1300 calories a day, usually ending up around 1500-1600. Before, I'm sure I was eating probably 2500. So even though I'm not eating what I'm supposed to, shouldn't there be some change?
I'm just frustrated. In the past, I went from 225 to 170 without even really trying (went through a really stressful time in my life after my mother died, and was too stressed to eat for the most part), and now I'm just stuck.

Try adding in some cardio and weight training... that way you'll see more results than just focusing on weight. I try to stick to 1400 calories but often end up around 1800-2000. However, I work out mixing cardio and weights at high intensity and see wonderful results. Find other ways to measure your success... are you getting stronger, able to do cardio longer or at a higher resistance? So many people focus only on the scald and get so furstrated - I call it self sabotoge. ( I did it to myself too. )
Results will come, but you'll have to pull your body out of the rut.
Hope this helps!
Also, check out bodybuilding.com.... there's tons of information (where I do most of my research) and wonderfully inspiring stories. You can find me on there if you're interested... my username is pauterson.0 -
I am in 100% in the same situation. I have severly cut down my calorie intake and haven't yielded results in the first 10 days. Just be drinking a lot of water to get the water weight out, make sure you are eating enough, and it will just take a little extra time. Right there with you..0
