I don't count "healthy' surgery like that found in fruits and veggies. Then I focus and stay on my goal.

I think it's more important to keep the processed simple carbs lower than worry to much about fruits etc.

Now everyone is different...I'm a T2 so I always do protein/carb combined when I eat fruit etc. So the sugar doesn't shoot right into my blood system:drinker:

Even for snacks I combine....it just seems to balance out better for me... I actually pay more attention to my carbs on the food deal than I do sugars.... I don't think I have that as one I choose to list,/

I have it show my total sodium (just for the heck of it...it always is mind blowing when you eat something later to find out how high it is in sodium so it's a learning tool I use), protein, cals, carbs, calcium, fat & fiber per meal/day.

I hear so many folks on here talking about there sugar levels on their daily food diary...are you all referring to the carb intake each day on your totals or do you merely have sugars checked off to view rather than carbs??

I agree with the above answers, it depends on where the sugar comes from. My sugar may be too high after eating yogurt, a couple servings of fruit and cereal... but I don't consider these poor choices so I don't worry about it. If it had been ice cream, a couple cookies and a slice of pie, well then I would be eager to change it.
