I'm new to fitness pal and really dieting in general. My personal and family health leaves me with some challenges to weight loss (some activity restrictions). I think primarily, I need to break my reliance on comfort eating and change my diet to eliminate some of the carb-heavy, nutrient-poor foods. Oh...and plan more so I'm not eating lunch at fast food places. At the moment, I'm just focused on learning to track my food and be a little more active.

  • Yes welcome! Im new myself, Im a high school wrestler who has always struggled with staying at his weight. I usually have to cut weight and it leaves me very weak when I wrestle this year my senior year I plan on dieting to be at my correct weight and exercising so I dont need to cut and am eating well and am able to give it 100% in a wrestling match. I wish you luck ashekay. Just avoid the fast food and whenever you get a break take the opportunity to exercise or eat something great.

    Good luck!
I started on MFP by tracking what I ate. I was shocked when I saw the calories & sodium. This and a Hypertension diagnosis gave me the kick in the pants to make better food choices.

I hope this site works for you!
