" The Firm"

I have started doing The Firm program. How would you suggests I log it? The workouts are "Hi Def Sculpt", "Cardio Party", "Hard Core Fusion" and "Cardio Overdrive". I figured Cardio I could do under aerobics. But the sculpt is more muscle toning than cardio, and Hard Core Fusion appears a bit of both (I haven't done this one yet). I am also new to the site and still learning about the logs and things. I've learned it may be best at times to just "guess", but I'd like the guess to be as close as possible. What do you do for foods as well (like Japanese Hibatchi, I couldn't find one that looked to fit right so I just broke it down)? Any advise or suggestions is appreciated so I can get the most out of my workouts/fitness/and this site.

Maybe circuit training?0

I highly recommend a heart rate monitor - then you can log it as whatever you'd like - circuit training is good- and insert the calories you burn.0

I heartily agree with this post. I got one and now I know exactly what I burn. You can also use the "quick add" feature and just log the calories you burned, unless you want to keep a running log of workouts.0 -
For now just use circuit training... and then go buy yourself a HRM....with a chest strap....you'll love it!! you don't really even feel it and it's extremely accurate! I bought mine from costco for 40 bucks.....it's the New Balance one....anyway, i love it, i bought a 100 one before that without a chest strap and it's kind of a pain to have to constantly check your Heart rate with your fingers, with the chest strap it does it automatically for you.0

I researched this same question over the Internet a few weeks ago. The advice I found was basically to log the cardio workouts as aerobics, the sculpting workouts as strength training, and the cardio-sculpt workouts as circuit training.
But if you want to get really technical, you can go to the Firm Believers Club and download the Firm Believers Ultimate Compendium. One dedicated Firm fan has broken down each of the DVDs by tune, time, and exercise type. "Hard Core Fusion," for example, has a warm up of 5 minutes, then 5 minutes of sculpting, followed by 5 minutes of cardio, 5 more minutes of sculpting, etc., all broken down and listed in the compendium. When I have the time, I use the compendium and do the math to find my calories burned; when I'm in a hurry, I generalize and just call it 55 minutes of circuit training.0
