Sorry guys, had to shout, I'm soooo stressed today, beginning to wish I stayed in bed :grumble:

1st of all, weekly weigh-in - yeah right! I didn't lose a single ounce! - I'm blaming the fact that I fell down the stairs last week, and felt sorry for myself!

2nd, I've got a friend that I've known since we were at school together, we lost touch 5 years ago, and bumped into each other last week, but...she seems to only contact me when she wants something - firstly it was my old 32" TV when I upgraded - after reaching my 1st target, then, she asked me if I could get hold of a sofa bed for her, now she wants a computer monitor - not sure whether she thinks I can pluck these out of mid air or not :grumble:

3rd, work, I work 7:30am - 1pm, then I have a break and go back 4-6pm 6 days a week. My employer phoned me at lunchtime, asking why I didn't do something - I have one lady I go to that is incredibly rude, and because of her attitude, I was told by my team leader to only go in, call round the door 'are you ok', wait for an answer, then leave. My supervisor told me I should give this woman tablets, I said no, I was told to do nothing but check this woman is still alive - and that I would not have to go to this woman perminantly, only for 3 days as they were short staffed - 6 weeks on, I'm dtill going to her 6 days a week! I was then told I had agreed to work 7-10pm tonight - I am supposed to have agreed to this over the phone yesterday afternoon - despite the fact that I was in the park with my 2 sons and 2 dogs and had left my phone at home! Not to mention that I do not work that late - because I have a family.

I am sooo stressed I could scream! All I want to do is grab a load of sweets and devour the lot!
I'm really annoyed at myself, because I thought I had got a grip with comfort eating, but I guess not

On top of all that, my DH has been given today off work as the company has no work in at the moment - this is the 4th week in a row that he's been given days of without pay - not sure if it's just down to the recession or other factors.
All I can think of at the moment is our hefty mortgage and keeping afloat.

Wow you have really really got a lot going on! All I can say is find something ASIDE from food and try to take a minute to relax and re-group. OR...go for a piece of beef jerky...they are good stress relievers because they are so damn hard to chew plus they aren't bad on calories or fat...

I'm sorry I wish I could help more!!!

#1. You didn't lose an ounce. But remember the bright side-- you aren't gaining, you are maintaining!! This is GREAT news!!

#2. Maybe now you remember why you didn't mind losing touch with her 5 years ago? Next time she calls wanting something, let the irritation show through your voice and tone, don't even worry with the words, although you can let her know you have no idea where she can get those things other than her local furniture store/ electronics store.

#3. Work stinks everywhere. :frown: I'm sorry. Don't let it derail you. Don't allow work to make you eat. Control it. You can make it through!

I ended up eating 5 mini chocolate heroes :blushing: I'm gonna turn to my knitting - usually takes my mind off things, I'm going to the gym later with my son to sign up, I could do with going there when I get stressed - take it out on the equipment

As for my friend, she was never like this before, it was always problems with her husband instead - although, they are still going through a rocky patch, think they always will - they've got a VERY terbulant relationship!

I've got the rest of the day off work today, so I'm gonna relax and go with the flo - without any more comfort eating! If the phone rings, I'm going to ignore it, do my knitting and maybe read a book after

thanks for listening - always seems a lot less of a problem when I shout my mouth off on here

On a positive note - you have a chance to make a couple extra hours just when your husband can't so it at least helps some toward your mortgage!

I learned an important fact while working in customer service very early in life --- most people just need a chance to vent. If you allow most people, even when they are angry, to spout off and let it go, they will calm down quickly enough afterwards and be willing to listen to a helpful person. That applies to real life too -- most people just want to be heard, and receive a friendly word back. Venting is so helpful!
