The veins on my hands are starting to like pop out. it's kinda like freaky.
I've been noticing it over the course of my weight loss... Is this a sign of decreased body fat, or is just because the weather is different outside? lol I would like to know because I think it looks cool, and I like it :P
i am a runner, do any other runners notice this more now? just wondering =] !

I think just heat makes them bulge, exercise does too. It's nothing to worry about =]. It's more noticeable the more weight you lose though.0

I am an avid runner and have been for 6 years now, and I always have veins that show on my arms and hands.. Its somewhat normal but it is due to the decreased body fat.. If you lose your menstrual cycle you will know that your body fat is too low and you will need to increase your weight a little. I struggle every once in a while (during half-marathon trainings) I struggle with amenorrhea. This is not good for your body and can lead to lower bone density and other bad effects. You can personal message me if you have any questions about how to avoid this. OHHH and when its hot out you will notice it much more!0

lol not really. I googled it and a lot of people said strength training makes them more visable and also it's genetic, but also a bunch of older women said they started getting it when they were older.. haha I like idea number one better!
I just think it's cool :P i like to watch my hands type!0 -
My hands and up by my wrists are the areas that I see a lit of bulging veins. I kinda like the idea of it that it's from losing weight, I hope anyway! I would like to see it in my arms then I would know that I'm losing fat there as well!0

Im not a runner, but I notice my veins on my hands pop when I work out and get really hot. My husband has also noticed the veins in my legs pop out when we walk. It is kind of freaky, but normal.0

not sure on that one. I lift weights, I lost a lot of weight and I am 43 so I have no idea which one to blame. I don't remember seeing them till after I started lifting weights though. Mine are very noticeable and my 12 year old is fascinated/disgusted by them, lol.0

I've been having them. I first noticed them when I was pregnant(15 years ago). I asked my doc about it a couple months ago because mine are very noticable. He said because I don't have alot of body fat. I asked him if it means I need more liquids. He said, if I was dehydrated they would be smaller. By the way, I don't run or lift weights.0
