Ditch the breakfast cereal, its low in fiber and has empty carbs. Try eating eggs instead or high fiber cereal/oatmeal. Try to eliminate rice from your diet or eat brown rice instead. Also, increase the protein. Instead of having rice for lunch and dinner, add a serving of lean protein or non-starchy vegetables. Also, chocolate cake has tons of carbs and fat. Its good as a treat, but not ideal if you're trying to go low carb.0

If you're looking to get started low carb, the healthiest way I've seen is the Paleo (or Caveman, or Hunter, Gatherer, or Paleolithic) diet. Most people start it as a 30, 45 or 60 day challenge. Basically you can eat lean meat, nuts, fruit and vegetables. You don't eat grains, starches or sugars (other than the ones in the okay to eat list). I just finished 50 days on it and it was great. I always felt full because there is a lot of protein and fiber. I had a ton of energy and lost weight. Good luck on your mission.0

Oh and leave the pasta/breads. Its hard at first, but soon you won't miss em. Good luck!0

It seems like you're not eating 1200 net calories. You should be eating your exercise calories for 1200 net.
Ditch the fruit juice. Eat fruits or make your own juice.
Ditch kellogs rice krispies and go for a high fibre/protein cereal.
Eat more fat. 10g a day is not enough. Eating fat will not make you fat.
Aim for at least 25g fibre a day. By making sure the foods you're eating have fibre, you can know that the carbs you're eating are good carbs. Good = kashi go lean (high fibre) . Bad = kellogs rice krispies (no fibre).0
