I am totally scared to do this. I'm 30 yrs.old mother of 4 I have gained a lot of weight and I'm depressed and want to be healthier. I am pre/ diabetic as well with high blood pressure. I have no idea where to start I weigh about 315 and I'm 5'11. please help to get me going. I have also tried fad diets and weight watchers and didn't loose hardly any weight and gave up after 4 months. I also have a significant other who has kept me from going to the gym. Ive had a gym pass since Jan and never gone.

  • This is an awesome first step! It may seem to be a pain at first to log your food and exercise, but it DOES keep you accountable for what you eat and lets you see your progress. WHy doesn't your SO let you go to the gym?? What on earth?? You do it for you. You do it for your health and your children, so they can keep their Mommy around as long as possible and so they can see that example in you of making healthy choices. I am praying for you! Good luck and God bless, darling! You've taken your first step! :-)

Hi i am Ian, you should start by going for long walks then build up from there. You should also go to the gym, no use having a pass and not using it. i was like you when i started you just need to push yourself and think of the benefits x

You can do this! Find something to motivate yourself!
I also have the issue of another person preventing me from going to the gym, so i sneak to the gym after work and some times before!
Set mini goals and work beyond your hardest to reach them! It may be to walk a km or do one push up! (the proper way).
My heaviest was 209lb and I am down to 163lb losing it slowly is the key to keeping it off!
If you want some added support feel free to add!
