Relieved!

I have been away for about a month. Kinda been off and on here. I have not been watching what I have been eating... I ate out a lot, had lots of junk food... a few binges.... Basically was quitting. Then I decided I wouldnt be so concerned about counting calories and just try to control my portions and not eat so much (since I happen to over eat ALL the time). Ive been doing that slowly. I havent had a scale for a month which kinda was driving me crazy... Finally, I begged my sister to let me take hers home for just one night.... Thinking I would be over 200lbs again I weighed in and I am only 195lbs! From 192.. I gained only 3 which is probably mostly water and other wastes haha. I was so relieved!! I am not going to use the scale as often anymore (like not every day) since I dont have one... and will just be keeping mindful of what im eating. I dont think im gonna be around the site too much anymore though, things have gotten busy since Ive moved into my new home. I have also changed my weight goal so I will weigh the same as my husband at 160lbs hahaha from there I will decide if I go further or not. My original weight goal was 145lbs. But we will see... So theres my update!!

    Best of luck, Carrie! Congrats on staying under 200. Good luck with your new house and your new goals. I think you have the right idea trying to make one change at a time - portion control and learning to stop when you're satisfied is a great thing to focus on. I realize that I eat so much differently now than I used to - I feel a lot more in control. Food is still enjoyable, but it's much more a source of fuel than a source of comfort now.

    Anyway, stop by and see us sometime. :wink:
