This is a weird question.

I'm at 193.5 lbs now, and my goal weight is 140-145ish. My 21st birthday is November 30th. Do you think I can reach my ultimate goal by my birthday?

At essentially 4 months for 50ish pounds, it's doable, as others have done on here, but do it safely and slowly so it's a lasting loss. It's going to take dedication, working towards it, finding what works for you (I eat my exercise calories back when I have them so I maintain my deficit at a sustainable point)

Even if you don't "reach the magic numbers" wouldn't you like to be even 20 to 30 lbs closer to the goal than you are right now? I'm 2 weeks away from the reunion that I wanted to be down 50 lbs for. I'm not there, but I'm glad that I'm closing in on the 40lb mark for it. Rather be that much closer to where I want to be even though I didn't "make" the number

50 lbs in 18 weeks is a lot!

At a safe max loss of 2 lbs per week, I'd say you could aim to be down to under 160 by your birthday

Well, you have 19.5 weeks to lose about 50 lbs. That's just over 2.5 lbs a week. It seems like a tough one to me, but you may be able to do it.
Don't forget that small goals are good too!
    Best of luck :0)

Thats pretty tough, i'd say it's a safer bet to aim for 160lbs, then any less than that will be a bonus...Keep it real and consistant, that way it'll stay off...Good luck with this and let us know how you do!!!
  • Yeah, that's probably better...really anything is better than where I was at when I left school (215...yikes) I'll aim for 165-170, and hopefully get even lower! Thanks, y'all!
