Hi everyone! I am really enjoying this site so far. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself a little.

I feel that this is going to be a long struggle. I started off last week in full force motivation mode and by wed I was hitting up my local fastfood place because of convenience. I know what I should be doing to be more healthy but I often give into the little devil on my shoulder that gives in to eating junk food and being lazy. After years of working in a desk job I have gone through years of losing and regaining weight. I'm hoping this site will really help me stay focused on my goal and help me through struggles along the way.

I know how it is to be pumped up and ready to go and then all of a sudden you're eating a burger. Having a community of support really helped me, especially since my family is not the healthiest family around. Seeing other people's struggles, triumphs, and similar fears, have really helped me and continue to help me on a daily basis. Along with starting a blog.

Best of luck to you! You can do this.

Hi, I just joined this site yesterday and am discovering all its helpful uses. I have to say that going too frequently to fast food joints and late night snacking was the primary cause of my weight gain. In regards to fast food, I made a commitment to stay away from any and all fast food establishments (especially my beloved french fries). Best decision of my life. In the two and one half years since making that decision I have gone to In and Out burgers only 5 times and that was because group decision to have In and Out burgers for a meal was made. I believe fast food is an addiction and the best way to be healthier is to eliminate them completely.

I wish you great success and remind you to not dwell on those occasional slip ups. I know that posting everything eaten is one of the best tools to help me to be accountable to myself.
