Exercise Calories

So, probably like many of you I have heard different things about eating exercise calories burned.
I'm supposed to eat 1600 calories a day without exercise.
I burn around 900 calories every day at the gym.
I still eat my 1600 calories a day only or sometimes less.
I have been hearing different things about eating the burned ones back or not, I think it kind of makes sense to do it since I can say that I not been feeling as energized as before I bumped from 500 to 900 calories burned a day.
So, starting today and until saturday I will eat half my calories burned (compromising), and see what results I get, both objectively & subjectively.
What do you guys do with your burned exercise calories?

My exercise calories open up room for more food for me. I try not to eat all of them back everyday, but some days it is much easier than others!! Curious to see what happens with your trial!!0

I think your compromise is a good one. Honestly, I eat them if I am extra hungry or "treating" myself. Sometimes I don't. Good luck!0

Its whatever suits you, i ate mine in a 2 week trial once and gained, i never eat them now, maybe i will once every few weeks if im having a treat, The only way you can tell whats going to work for you is to do a trial really, then judge, good luck xx0

I've been in maintenance for 2 months now and have been eating back most of my calories each day. Recently, not so much. Result = unintended weight loss. So, I will be eating them all back to stop the weight loss. I can not afford more clothes!!!0

Actually when I started eating them back I had much more energy, finally broke the plateau etc. etc. so now I eat them back as much as I can:) I can only recommend that as a long-term strategy... but of course I cant say that is the only RIGHT method:)0

i try to eat half but sometimes they are all gone :-)0

I think if you are suffering from low energy, your body isn't get enough fuel so eating 1/2 of those exercise calories is a good start. I myself eat just about every exercise calorie I burn and still seem to be losing.0

I eat mine but I'm told to only have 1200 a day so... it's definitely necessary. If you are at 1600 eating back half is probably a good idea. If you decide not to continue after these few days I would atleast eat enough so that you are at 1200 every day. I'm interested to see how this goes though.0
