Under Armour shoes?

When I first started running last year, I went to a professional running shop and was fitted with Nike Pegasus shoes. I love these shoes, but the new version of them aren't as supportive (or as cushy in the heel) as the old ones. Unfortunately, the old style are sold out everywhere. I was in a sporting goods store a couple weeks ago and saw Under Armour makes running shoes. Has anyone tried them? How about has anyone tried these AND Nike Pegasus and can give me a good comparison of them?

I'm going to need running shoes soon and I've been through soooo many that I'm dreading having to buy again. I've already tried New Balance, Asics, Sacuony (sp?), and a handful of others whose names are escaping me right now. These Nike's are the only ones I've had luck with, but I can't find these ones anymore. :(

I've never worn the UA brand...have you tried Brooks? Those are my go to shoes especially for trail running.

The only UA shoes I've used were cross trainers. I bought them probably over a year ago, and they've held up better than any shoes I've ever had. The are extremely supportive and work well for just about everything. I've had nikes fall apart in the time I've had these.

I've never worn nike pegasus BUT I do have UA shoes (along with every other brand) and I found the UA ones are very heavy. I have high arches, weigh 155, and run 20-30 miles a week on trails and on the road. I alternate between vibram 5 fingers and asics gel sky speed for the road then the vibams or my ua for the trails. I only wear the UA ones when its really muddy and I need some serious tread on the bottom of my shoes. If you know your foot type (arch and way you land) go to roadrunnersports.com and use their shoe finder app...its never let me down!

    Good luck!

How are the UA shoes in the heels? I have steel rods in my spine and NEED heel support.

My husband got his about a month ago. He loves them. He says they are light weight and comfortable and he is VERY picky about his shoes!! My daughter wants a pair too.

From what I've noticed - my Pegasus are heavier than most shoes out there (the new Pegasus are lighter and I hated them.. I like the older, heavier ones). I can only run on a treadmill or indoor track - so I don't have to worry about pavement or trails. :)

I love Saucony's....they last so long too, from what I've been told, I've only had mine for about 3 months now and they still look new!

I've tried these - had to take them back. They didn't fit my weird arch. :( Thanks, though! :)

i wear UA ALWAYS when i run and i have arch supports i have not had an issue with the heals if you buy ones that have a higher heal. i love them super light and easy to run in. i ran my half marathon in them and had not pain at all from the shoes...im actually buying anohter pair this next week i love them so much! i have not found them in store though so the tough part is the online ordering.

I've heard a lot of good things about this brand. Perhaps I should go to the running store again and see if they have them? I don't want to have to buy shoes from the running store again as they are WAY more expensive. I've never seen Brooks in stores though.... I suppose I could see if the running store has them, try them on and order them online. :) How are they for heel support?

I think they have pretty good heel support...at least for me. Brooks are quite pricy...the usual starting price is around $90. However they last a long time compared to other brands (IMO). Go to a running store and be properly fitted as well.

I've been hunting for supportive shoes for Zumba class. I got a pair of UA cross trainers today, on sale, and they were wonderful. They had enough grip when I needed it, but also let me move across the floor. They were extremely comfortable. I bought a pair of Nike Flex Trainers and loved them until the rubber treads peeled off one week after I used them.
