Eat like me

I was recently complemented for being able to lose weight and not regaining it. The person asked how I did it. I started to explain, but he quickly interrupted and said: don’t give me the science BS, just tell me what you eat.
Since weight loss (46 pounds last year and 13 pounds this year) and maintaining it is relatively easy for me, I decided to share what I eat.
Breakfast:
1 tomato
Blueberries
1 slice of dry, 100% whole-grain toasted bread with 1 slice of 99% fat free turkey breast
Hot tea
Water
There are many people who struggle with weigh loss. Some might have tried almost everything already and the pounds do not come off easily for them. I decided to post what I eat with this group on my mind.
Since it worked for me it may be worth sharing.
I did not exercise when I lost 46 pounds. The weight loss was achieved “only” through the changes to what I eat I how I eat.
I know that the post title may appear arrogant, but I did not find anything better at this movement.
Will post other meals.
Please post what you eat.

I agree that hunger is self-induced. I only found that out in the past month, however. It occurred to me that I was supposedly eating to satisfy my hunger, yet my hunger was increasing after eating. Theoretically, it didn't make sense to continue to buy foods that didn't fulfill the purpose of food. After I started judging foods on whether they were satiating or not, fruit juice was one of the first things to go.
My favorite meal:
2 slices of Ezekial cinnamon raisin bread with sour cream thinly spread on top (it is actually is good)
2 eggs with scrambled with a tsp of olive oil
Water

A whole tomato? What did you do with it?
Edited to add: I realize you ate it... but how did you prepare it? Or did you eat it like an apple? Just curious0 -
Thanks Tramainepaul for your comment.
Discovering that fruit juice was not that good was one of my many eye opening moments.0 -

I realized that I posted breakfast only. So here is my lunch.
Lunch:
Water
Grilled chicken breast (no skin)
Lots of romaine lettuce
Spinach
Tomatoes
Green or red paper
Carrots
Cucumbers
Hot tea
All veggies are raw.
No sugar in my tea.
Twice a week I have fish instead of the chicken. Same veggies.0 -
And my dinner.
Dinner:
Water
Apple
Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad (romaine lettuce and tomatoes only).
Hot tea (no sugar)
I remove cheese that comes with the salad but do use dressing that comes with it.0 -
Each morning for breakfast i have 45g of Oat Krumbly cereal with 125ml of semi-skimmed milk.
First couple of times i was shocked how little it actually is, but to my amazment it's just as filling as a big bowl!
Will then have a yogurt around 11/11:30
Lunch at 12:30 varies, either a home made chicken wrap, chicken salad (homemade) or something similar (today is a jacket potato)
Dinner varies as i'm still trying to find out what is best calorie wise from our usual dinners and what i need to cut out!0 -
Breakfast isn't my best meal (I still have to force myself to eat it). It usually just a slice of wholemeal toast with peanut butter. I also have a yoghurt and a piece of fruit.
My evening meals are where I have made the most changes. The main difference now being that I actually control my portions !!
Tonight's dinner will be turkey breast with a spicy passata sauce, 200g of new potatoes, broccoli and green beans. I do this for under 500 calories (maybe 550 as I'll have a lot of veg!)
I love all salad and veg so I have very interesting and colourful plates. Dinner has always been my favourite meal and even though I am 6 months into my MFP journey I still get excited by what I am going to have for dinner LOL!0 -
