Yoga is actually a great way to exercise. There are different types of yoga for relaxation and strength training. I used to do the fitness yoga class at my local YMCA. I had a really good teacher that kicked my butt every week. Loved it! Really shoud go back.

Yes - yoga can be used for strength. I use yoga primarily for flexibility, so I can't offer you a lot of info.

I think you are looking for "power yoga." Hopefully someone who is more knowledgeable than me will give you some good ideas.

depends on the class and the instructor and the level. the class i do currently is quite physically demanding, especially for the arms... and the instructor doesn't seem to focus so much on the leg moves, which is different, but what she does do is awesome anyway.

but some classes are a little bit of everything, not too much of anything,
and some classes focus on one main part of the body per class...

all depends, so many yoga classes are totally different from each other dependant on the instructor and their personal style.
