I am having a hard time deciding what size/weight I should be. My BMI is in the middle of my acceptable range. My ideal weight is right where it should be or I am 3 lbs too heavy depending on which one I use (I weigh 132). My size is either a 6 or an 8 depending on brand/designer. When I look @ myself I feel I look heavier than people who weigh less than me. I am I judging myself too harshly?

Looking at your picture... you might be :)
  • everyone's goal is different, I try to make my goals really hard so that I can look my very best I don't just want to me fit I want to be very tone and athletic looking so it's not bad to be hard on yourself as long as you don't beat yourself up about it

Yes. I'm on the same boat though, I'm almost in the BMI and all of my friends say I'm not fat at all. I say, be healthy. If you feel like you are not comfortable in your skin, then go ahead, get comfortable! Be careful not to take it too far though. You sound like you can't afford to lose too much weight.

I would say yes too harsh, but you should be the size that you are most comfortable, so are you comfortable?

    Thanks :)

I've had a lot of friends tell me I look great in that pic & all I see is what I need to improve. That's why I use it. To motivate myself. I know my friends think I look great but they are MY friends they are not going to tell me I look chunky. lol

I feel the same way. My sister is an inch taller than me but is 8 pounds lighter. WTH? I am 5'7 and 139. I would love to get down to 130 so that I have a cushion to play with. Good luck!

You should be where you feel comfortable! No matter what the scale says or what size you wear!
It also doesn't matter what others weigh...it could be body shape or fat to muscle ratio that makes the difference.
I weigh 126 and feel too fat to even wear shorts !! So I am definitely not happy where I am. I'm not looking for a number or a size in particular just happy with my body regardless.

No. I thought I would be @ this size & weight. I was 20 lbs heavier before this picture. I know I am thinner but I still feel I could use improvement. I just don't want to feel I need to lose 5 more lbs every time I meet a goal weight :)

I am 5"6 & 132 so we are probably pretty close but you seem much thinner than me.
