Extra daily calories?

If I'm not all that hungry and I have a significant amount of calories left for the day, should I try to eat them? What's a good number of calories to have left at the end of the day?

    If you are over 1200 calories, then you can choose not to eat them. It might be a good idea to eat a little bit more with each meal to use some of those calories up. Calories don't all simply make you fat. They run your body, and you need a healthy body to have a thinner body.

    You should take in a minimum of 1200 calories a day before exercise. I am lucky if I do that. Sometimes I find it hard to get in 900 but I think that is why I have such a difficult time losing weight. After so long of staying under 1200, your body will go into starvation mode. Unfortunately that happens to me too often.

    As long as I am above 1200 and I'm not hungry I don't eat them. Sometimes I use a lot of my calories...sometimes I'm right at 1200.

    If it's one day, don't worry about it too much, just try to plan better next time. If it's a frequent occurrence, you need to work at choosing more nutrient dense foods and perhaps eat more often throughout the day to ensure you're eating enough.
