Im not sure if Im the only one to notice this, or if it bothers anyone else but I find the measurements for Menchies frozen yogurt in the MFP database just piss me off.

When you go to a Menchies store, you WEIGH your cup of yogurt. Its weighed in OUNCES. Why do people enter it in the database in the 1/2 cup and 1 cup measures? Do the bring a measuring cup along to make sure? lol

I know EXACTLY how many OUNCES were in that bowl that I ate when I payed for it. hint hint

Ok. Done Venting for now.

As you were.

There are 8 ounce in a cup so you can figure it out in cups.

Kelly there are 8 oz volume in a cup but if its measured by weight there are 16 oz in a pound and a weight oz and a volume oz are not the same

No, actually, you can't. A cup as 8 ounces is for water. Other things weigh more per cup - a cup of walnuts weighs significantly less than a cup of rocks, therefore ounces is the appropriate measure, as 8 ounces of rocks and 8 ounces of walnuts weigh the same, even though their volume is very different. A cup is a unit of volume, an ounce is one of both volume and weight.

Alternatively, a cup is eight FLUID ounces. Not the same thing as eight solid ounces.

Make your own entry or amend one that's there?

Don't eat rocks! Be it 8 liquid ounces or 8 ounces in weight!
Yeah, it bugs me, but I would just do my best eyeball guesstimation if nothing in the database is as precise.
