Good morning/evening everyone!! =0) Hope you all are having a great and healthy weekend so far. So the story today I have heard before but it makes a great point and perspective to many things that happen to us in our lives. First one once you hit rock bottom thats the best place to start the other direction because it cant get any worse. The other is when you are getting *kitten* thrown at you from every direction shake it off and move on. There is nothing permanent that anyone can do to you that you cant get yourself out of. You hold the power to change and to be the better person. So when you hit rock bottom and someone is leaving you for dead then shake off whats being thrown at you and use the *kitten* thats being thrown at you to climb above and beyond the person throwing it. Hope you all have a wonderful day today! Cheers!
An Old Mule
There was a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer’s well. The farmer heard the mule praying or whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead, he called his neighbors together, told them what had happened, and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery.
Initially the old mule was hysterical! But as the farmer and his neighbors continued shoveling and the dirt hit his back, a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back, HE WOULD SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP!
This he did, blow after blow. “Shake it off and step up…shake it off and step up…shake it off and step up!” He repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows, or how distressing the situation seemed, the old mule fought panic and just kept right on SHAKING IT OFF AND STEPPING UP!
It wasn’t long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, stepped triumphantly over the wall of that well! What seemed like it would bury him actually helped him… all because of the manner in which he handled his adversity.
P.S To my newbies search the subject line for past stories, to the badas***ses on here well you know what to do. Lets show everyone how we rock it, bump it, share it and motivate each other. =0)

Thanks for that. It was very inspiring and enjoyable to read.
So is this what you do? Share parables? It's interesting. I will keep reading so long as you don't bring that big beardy bloke into it. :-)0 -

I have always done this for friends to spread positive affirmations regularly. The world needs more good with in it. So when I joined MFP I figured I could get the good positive words out to many people by posting on this daily. It has become a habit for me so I enjoy it. What I do ask from people that read them is that they share them with at least one other person a day. Then we can hope that person will do the same. Its the easiest way to help change the world. =0)0 -
