My Polar F11 HRM is about to die (keeps resetting itself, screen dying and generally behaving badly!!) So I need to replace it. The replacement Polar recomends is the FT60 but that is much more expensive! (I think!! - I don't remember paying that much for it!) So I am looking at the FT40.

Any Polar users that can tell me if I will miss out on much by going for the FT40 instead of the FT60? I can't find a comparison chart that shows the F11 on it to work out what I had on that - which I might miss!!!

Anyhelp would be gratefully received!!!

Not much majorly different between the two models. Any of the Polar FT series watches would work. If you don't do -- or think you'll do -- any running, then the FT40 would be your best bet.

Also, there's the FT7, which has some of the same features as the FT40.

Can't you just send it in to have the batteries replaced?? Thats what the guys from the Fire station told me they had to do with their Polars........(This is why I like my Timex HRM..I can replace the batteries myself)

The new Polar watches have easily replaceable batteries now too.

I get my Polar gadgets from heartratemonitorsusa.com. They usually have pretty good deals.

Look on Amazon.. the Ft40n would prob. be fine.

Also, there are two FT60's.. one with GPS and one without. The one with GPS is more then the one without, so if you don't need GPS try to find one without.
