Hiya!
So I couldn't be bothered to go to teh gym today which is really unusual for me. Instead I purchased wii zumba and wii fit plus. Are any of you using wii for exercise? How are your burns and results? I'm not looking to replace the gym at all but perhaps add it on top of my gym routine.
Thanks for any info!

You will not burn as much as fast as if you went to the gym- but I do not like gyms and refuse to go so I use the wii- biking and running (this is new) and skiing in the winter. I usually do the wii active 2 which I like and tells you how many cals u have burned (aprox) and the time at the end of the workout. It also comes with a heart rate mon. which I like. It makes me feel like it is more accurate (not sure if it is but I like to think so.) I have also use just dance 2 on the wii. there is a web site that I found that tells u approx what each song is based on the sweat drops- I think 3 sweat drops is 21 or 27 cals not sure but you can look it up.
I like it. It does not work for everyone but I am a wii fan!0 -
Glad you bought the Zumba! Using my HRM, it's working! PLUS -- based upon my sweat and breathing... it was working! :bigsmile:0

When I can't get to the gym I'll play Just Dance 2 on the wii. It's pretty fun and gets my heart going pretty well. It's the most fun when my 3 year old does it with me. I just got an HRM and got a calorie burn that was a bit less than the same amount of time on the elliptical. You have to intentionally put effort into really copying the dancers on screen, you can get a decent score just moving the arm holding the wii-mote, but obviously you don't get a very good workout that way. I'v been thinking about picking up the Zumba game because it looks like fun.0
