Stashing the Scale

I've had it with the scale! I'm at a healthy weight and body fat percentage, I exercise regularly (training for a marathon)....and I need to stop obsessing over that number that stares right back up at me and dictates weather I am going to feel good about the day or not.

I can't fixate on this number that, for some unknown reason, I tell myself that I need to be at! It is not logical at all...

I am vowing to pitch that stupid scale to the back of the closet and only get it out once a month to ensure that I haven't gone completely off track. I already feel relief just thinking about not being on that thing on a daily or weekly basis!

This is my NEW PLAN:

Generally follow the MyPlate recommendations provided by Dept of Agriculture at every meal
Log everything on myfitnesspal, even the bad days.
Only eat food that I REALLY enjoy/ will give me the energy I need for workouts
80% full. That's it. Means leftovers for lunch
Drink enough water
Enjoy life and do what really matters
Remember that my health is only controlled my ME, and I am worth making healthy choices food

Anyone else feel this way??? If you do, I hope you will join me in stashing the scale!
