low carb breakfast ideas

I was put on a low carb diet by my doctor does anyone have any fav low carb breakfast that they like to eat. Anything rather than eggs.

I hate eggs! LOL. I usually eat peanut butter on an english muffin....it's a little lower carb than bread.0

Try something with peameal bacon (aka Canadian bacon), cottage cheese, shakes, peanut butter.0

I eat greek yogurt (plain, nonfat), or ricotta cheese with berries, or a protein shake. Also, there's no rule saying that only breakfast foods can be eaten at breakfast time! You can eat a salad and a steak, for ex!0

I like savory breakfasts more than sweet ones, so when I was doing low carb, I would usually eat non-breakfast foods for breakfast - a slice of leftover roast, chicken/egg salad (just diced chicken or egg, mayo, salt and pepper), sliced lunch meat & cream cheese roll-ups, etc. I know they have low carb meal replacement shakes now as well - never had one so I can't say whether I recommend them or not. But I do know, the cleaner I ate, the better I felt, and the more weight I would lose. Hope that helps a little.0

Pepperidge Farm makes a Carb Style Bread (soft 100% whole wheat) thats 8g carbs (5g net carbs) per slice.0

But I think you should be getting food recommendations from your doctor, since the doctor is the one who recommended this change... make sure that what you're eating is in line with what he or she had in mind.0 -
Bean or chicken burrito in a low carb wrap, or greek yogurt with some fruit or honey mixed in.0

In the healthy section at Raley's (some at Walmart also), the brand called Amy's makes really good tofu breakfast burritos and meals. Gluten free also!0

Best to run all suggestions with your doctor first.
You could incorporate nuts and quinoa into breakfast.
Pure nuts, their butters (i.e. peanut butter, almond butter) their flours (almond flour) and their milks (almond milk) can be used in a lot of different breakfasts.
Quinoa & crushed, mixed nuts and can be combined to make a home made granola topped with mixed seeds & natural yoghurt or almond milk. If you add peanut butter to the granola mix you could make flapjacks or power bars. You could also do up a protein pancake/scone mix using nut flour & almond milk.
I'm wheat and dairy free so Ive trawled the internet quite a bit looking for recipes. I have come across a couple that I like for their breakfast recipes: http://www.healthfulpursuit.com/recipes/ and http://www.elanaspantry.com/gluten-free-recipes/breakfasts/
