I finally took the plunge, ordered it and got it today. For the folks that do it/have done it ~ is it as good as the hype? I'm sooooo hoping that #1 it's not going to be so strenuous that I end up hurting myself and #2 it's going to help me bust out of this wretched plateau I've been on for the past couple of months, despite doing everything I can think of to get off of it. I've got 7 weeks before I have to go back to the doctor, the latest cholesterol lowering drug she put me on is just as bad as the last one as far as adverse side effects and I'm past the point of desperation

I've said it before & I'll say it again, Turbo Jam ROCKS! LOVE this workout. I lost a lot of weight just doing the 20 min. routine. When I hit a plateau, I cranked it up to the 40 min. routine & busted right through it. Hopefully it is what you need! I think it is a lot of fun, too. Best of luck to you!
  • Frithir,

I can't speak directly to Turbo Jam but if it's anything like Ten Minute Trainer, you'll be HOOKED! I've been doing TMT for about 2 weeks now. That, incorporated with nutritional changes has given me GREAT motivation to succeed.

I haven't seen muscle gain, or lost a LOT of weight, but physically I FEEL better. I'm not as winded as I first was starting the program.

I've seen the commercials for Turbo Jam and it looks real FUN. Good thing for you might be is that they start out slow teaching you basic moves and then you move up gradually. Good luck on your quest. Heck, you're ALREADY down 40 pounds!

As the beachbody folks say when they exercise.....BRING IT!!! (my game face)

Thanks for the imput everyone. I sat down and watched it tonight and was able to figure out the moves pretty quickly. Between the osteoporosis and the sciatica, I think it's safer for me to stick to the low-impact option for now and keep up with the morning walkabout.

Yes Mr. Brown ~ I've lost 40 lbs. but there's some folks like my primary care physician who see it as "you've ONLY lost 40 lbs." and tend to act like I'm being less than serious about it all and being less than honest about compliance, which despite their beliefs, I'm VERY serious about and and have been VERY compliant. The fact that my triglyceride level is still 502, in the past 2 months, have tried and been unable to tolerate two different medications and have not lost any more weight since August got me a major mondo scathing lecture last week and has me desperately seeking a different path.
