Resolving amenorrhea?

Hey all,
So I've not had a period for 8 months now and I'm pretty sure it's because of the amount of exercise I do vs body fat % and weight. I'm 114lbs, 165cm tall and exercise (run/ swim/ 30DS etc) 6 days a week.
I need to put on a bit of weight but I'm struggling with the concept of that and I would like to have some kind of time frame or goal in my head so I know what I'm aiming for. If I eat more, what should I eat and how long before my periods come back? I'd like to hear from people who have also been through this and see what worked for them if possible.
